Natasha was a student at Nyeri Primary school and even the principal then Mr. Kuira, described the incident as a big mystery. The incident was carried out to save her from government agents of the then government of Milton Obote. Her suitcase was left behind during the escape and in interviews done back then this were some of the responses;
Her class teacher (Mrs.Kirichu) said that she had an incognito life and her identity was hardly known, she appearred to be using the school as a hiding ground.
Natasha had barely spent two terms at the school when she was roused from sleep and whisked away. It appeared something had gone terribly wrong and Museveni had learnt some people wanted to harm her.
A former classmate Angela Kimaru who was in the same dormitory as Natasha recalls they were always baffled by the way she communicated through letters.
She says Natasha would not write the names of those she was writing letters to on the envelope.
“Her letters were strictly addressed to Mum, Dad, Uncle or Aunt and their Nairobi addresses. No names were written on them. It was later known that this was for security reasons as she was supposed to stay incognito,” says Ms Kimaru.
Her suitcase that has been in place for over three decades was opened to reveal that indeed it belonged to Natasha Museveni. After her night whisk it is reported they united with other family members for a safety flight to Sweden.
Natasha who is now married to Edwin Kaguire is President Museveni's personal secretary, and having been flown to Germany to deliver her baby in 2003 for a trip that cost over 2.3Million you can say she is known to the good life.
It is said she hardly had 2 terms at the instituition.
