Things have not been smooth for a form three student at Narumoru Girls High School

whose education has since then hit a snag after being involved in a hit-and-run accident while ridding a bicycle along the Ring Road Estate, Nyeri County.

Charity Mumbi had grabbed her brother's bicycle and rode off from their home in Kamakwa destined towards New Life Children's Home where she had planned to pay them a visit as it was her normality to do so.

Unfortunately, a speeding car came from behind and swept her off from behind and swept her off the bicycle, hurdling her onto the fence of the nearby Nyeri Technical Training Institute.

Her head rammed a pole on the fence and she slumped to the ground. However, the merciless motorist drove off without slowing to help his or her victim who was deeply rooted in pain and agony.

A good Samaritan, Doctor Ritho who lives nearby, drove at the scene of incident and rapidly took her to the nearby Outspan Hospital.

She suffered multiple skull and jaw fractures and the fatal accident's injuries cost her multiple complications rendering her to a six months admission at Outspan Hospital in 2010.

Now, a Charity Mumbi Medical Fund raise Walk has been organized to raise a colossal sum of Ksh2 Million in order to facilitate a neuro cranial reconstruction and other surgeries scheduled to be done in India.
