Kenya's 20 million mobile phone users are coming under attack from scammers and fraudsters. The unexpected prize SMS text message scam happens when a mobile phone user receives a text message stating that he has won a prize. The scam side of this text includes part of the text message stating that to receive the prize, money must first be sent to the sender of the text. Prizes are more likely to never arrive, and if a prize does arrive, it may not be anything like what was originally expected.

1.Never reply to such sms (messages).

2.Never send any personal detail or any confidential information via reply through email.

3.Fraud Sms sill always start with winning notifications , promo ,lottery draw,mobile draw there fore try to mark those fabricated language.

4.You can also report such scams to your mobile service provider or even to its manufactures.

5.Beware, if you receive any sms related to bank details like credit card or debit card details immediately inform this to your banks. Best part is you can also ignore by deleting them.

Remember personal information is the key assets of any individual don’t loose them to scammers .
