As preparations into Kenya’s first ever Miss Corporate Kenya beauty pageant get underway, its title owners, Ashley’s Events, have unleashed their pageant concept in the prestigious competition dubbed:
HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR COMPANY?
This annual event has a unique concept that will make it not only DIFFERENT from other Kenyan beauty pageants but is also geared at maximizing the publicity and public awareness of corporates involved.
Under the concept, each participating company will be required to either appoint a member of their staff or appoint a professional model, to contest while representing their brand. The methodology will consist of corporate competing against corporate in the beauty contest for the exclusive prestigious Miss Corporate Kenya title whose winner will carry the company brand all over Kenya during the inter-counties contests as well as the African continent early next year when the Miss Corporate Africa title is contested for in South Africa.
The highlight of the events will no doubt be the question- and-answer sessions during which participants will be required to answer by respected and experienced pageant judges at least five questions in answering the question: HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR COMPANY?
Ashley’s Co-Director Julie Chege says this will be a chance for participatory corporates to sell their brands to the audiences directly without interrupting the flow of the pageants.
“This will be a unique marketing opportunity that will be a win-win situation for all participating corporates as the audience will leave the pageants better informed about the companies and the services or products that they produce regardless of who takes the top three slots of those crowned Miss Corporate Kenya”, said Mrs. Chege.
The q-and-a session will be amongst others those competitions listed under categories of winter, summer, athletic and cocktails WEARS. Contests will showcase the latest and glamorous corporate looks for all seasons.
“Beauty pageant contests will be held in every county of Kenya with each county producing a Miss Corporate County who will carry the supporting companies brand to the national contest due to be held in Nairobi on November 22 this year.
“The overall winning models and their two runner-ups shall receive monetary and material rewards during this event that will prove to be memorable all over Kenya and in South Africa.
“The National overall winner will get the unique opportunity of carrying her corporate BRAND to the continental contest in South Africa early 2015. All Miss Corporate winners in every County will also automatically become CSR brand ambassadors of their respective corporates and our Charity of Choice; Center For Social Responsibility and Accountability (CESRA).
Another concept of the pageant will be to recognise the previously uncelebrated role of corporates in their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes by awarding those adjudged by its panel of offering the best services to their respective members of the society especially the underprivileged.
Job Creation:
As a talents-exposure initiative, models or aspiring models with enough confidence alongside their natural beauty and brains will be accorded by this, the rare opportunity of approaching their role-model blue-chip firms and offer to represent the said corporate(s) during the pageant.
“The sponsoring company will pay a fee to register their models to the competitions “noted Director Chege.
