At Stone Center ltd Nyeri we specialise in supplying first quality Votro® Natural Stone tiles from around the world, offering some of the most desirable materials known to man. Our fabrication workshop is one of the best equipped in the country, and our aim is to produce bespoke stone work without compromising on quality and service.
This position will call on existing and new clientèle, as well as work with builders, designers, General Contractors and all other decision makers in the sales and installation process. This key role will drive sales volume, maintain and grow existing accounts, and develop new clientèle and sales channel opportunities throughout the assigned sales territory.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement the sales plan and achieve set targets to ensure achievement of overall sales objectives.
  2. Develops monthly strategy for sales
  3. Grows market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining company approved product margin goals.
  4. Utilizes influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place samples in customer’s showrooms.
  5. Conducts client follow-ups via phone calls, letters and/or emails.
  6. Utilizes “On Demand” reporting to achieve sales objectives.
  7. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education & Knowledge:

  1. Degree/Diploma in Sales and Marketing is preferred.
  2. Computer skills to include functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and email.

Experience:

  1. 2 years prior selling experience required.
  2. Prior customer service experience is a plus.
  3. Proven ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment is required.

Competencies:

  1. Self-motivated with the ability to work under little or no supervision.
  2. Must possess proven interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiation skills.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate solid time management and organizational skills.
