Its funny how most of you thought I had gone with the Country Man liquor wind just because I had stopped tweeting for a day after the brew killed people including a young man called Gichohi, coincidentally I had happened to sniff around Embu but really now? RIP on my Facebook wall SMH(shaking my head).I didn’t die am very much alive and breathing you are still reading my escapades which Wakili Mungai tells me makes one feel as if am a Kardashian! Yeap this is a full time job that you only earn during the weekend after a few minutes of writing, do not get any ideas your mind cant be any creative beyond this that is why you are reading, Just kidding! Wish you had seen the look on your face when I doubted your creativity.
Creativity is the theme of this weekend. Boy are people getting creative in Nyeri County, The clubbing industry and hotel industry people are really waking up and smelling the coffee to the new breed of Lounges and hotels that are coming up, people have finally realized that Nyerians now want standards they want ti be treated like urbanites and not like Shaggz mondos.Nyerians want a Vegas in town, that is what has been created now by Klub Dreamz its the new joint in town! Its Behind Nyeri Town View, this is the ‘it’ joint.
If you remember earlier I have way terming whether a Lounge is Qualified or Quialified.Will tell you what Dreamz is.Enter into Dreams you find the first Bar which has a fully stocked counter and quick service but the first bar is for the Reserved older kind that would rather be close to the door and drink in their own chit chat with close friends, I sat there with close friends oftenly referred to us girls who are friends and all we could do is open our hearts(kufungua roho) and talk about our boring daytime Experience, Enter Second bar it is of a different theme with disco lights controlled by a light deejay (controller) I was relieved to see that have not taken up the Christmas tree lights and turned them to disco lights like some “lounges” we know! The smoke too is pretty awesome! In short this bar is the raver and the interacting, the drunk type that always wants the deejay to their keep it down for booze to sink down perfectly and the type that wants the deejay to play songs that are in his phone.
Enter the dancing arena it has a barbecue and its in open air for those riddim and dancehall lovers that always want all the space they can have to twerk and show off their dancing skills which infact most of them have two left feet. The bbq/Kitchen serves Nyama choma,fry and sweet food I didnt like the ugali though. The service here is efficient unlike other places where you order food till your stomach forgets that food is even a basic requirement.
Enter my favorite part and the creative aspect, the spider web Tunnel its just awesome for a minute I thought I was Jack of Jack and the beanstock *Jameson gives me crazy ideas* The first stop is the VIP box here its exclusive yeap you don take your broke self to take a soda and keep farting in the leather seats, a beer here is 250bob don get creative buy one and take it there your bill will be added yeap its that exclusive! So if you are like me mwanaumme ni kusave hadi valentines you take your Girlfriend there she will be your Fiancée and getting married to you the same night, I promise. This side is the Very Important Person and not the Very Improved Peasant but can still drop by! Its for the jazz type of person, slow music, calmness and can watch tv without disturbance as he Enjoys his Jameson and gingerale slowly. I so love that section but I hope my girl aint going to read this piece till next year on valentines.
Enter the Last Bar it has a fully stocked counter, superb lighting and has the theme of a sports bar! Its supreme yaani ni baba yao if you want to watch a game the flat screens are on everywhere you turn the ambiance too is great! This side is for the hiding kind of guy that does not want to be known where he is or talk about work just wants to chill! Believes in YOLO <You Only Live Once>.
This joint has attracted big Dawgs like my main Man and top Nyeri County MP Hon Kanini Kega he always knows the good places and has amazing taste for everything! Second spotted is the best County Executive the tech survey, hard worker and selfless Hon John Mwangi Maina he is the county minister for Lands and Urban planning his thee Man serious btw tweet him @mainamwangij and he will reply obviously after you follow! I still think he should be dealing with youth affairs.
The guy behind the decks is the Main man of it all DJ Kay V can get you dancing to any tune even slow music you find yourself dancing to wolololo! Its the ultimate place to party in comfort and style beer is at fare prices in regular bars, the directors are so down to earth the hospitality is just top notch Thanks for the Fry Nyama during the launch day! I still can’t come to terms with that I partied on Monday Like Miley Cyrus on Friday. Its only at Klub Dreamz so overall score is 8/10 the remaining two are just incase the directors buy A brother a Jameson this weekend.
