We are looking for candidates with tourism diploma/degree from a reputable national university that are looking for thorough on the job training and coaching
Location: Nyeri
Duration : 6 Months – 12 Months
You will be trained and coached on the following aspects :
Hotel reservations and Flight reservations in Amadeus
Liaising with tour operators and other key partners such as hotels and airlines regarding bookings and schedules;
Dealing with customer itineraries;
Assist in developing our Travel Agency in Nyeri
Selling holiday and travel products to local and international customers;
General Administrative work
Assisting in the Maintenance of the English language website
Communication by email and Skype telephone and other means with the sales offices and Agents abroad
Assist in developing new routes
Quoting of Trips/packages
Planning of the drivers duty rosters and imprests.
Maintenance of our Hotel rate database.
Skills/Requirements:
- An advanced diploma or bachelors degree in Tour operating, Business Administration or Marketing
- Have an excellent knowledge of African geography, especially East Africa
- Proficiency in English and editorial skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel
- Strong numerical ability for calculating costs, Thorough knowledge of Excel is a real plus
- Strong communication skills
- Be able to work under pressure,
- Possess organizational skills and be able to multi-task
- Have the ability to work well as part of a team
We are looking for ambitious candidates that are able to think out of the box and provide on the job coaching and training.
