Yesterday, as part of promoting our forthcoming event, the Miss Corporate Kenya Beauty Pageant, I had the pleasure to visit Nyeri County where my team was warmly welcomed by the County’s Chief Officer for Tourism, Trade and Industrialisation Hon. Walter Wachira.
We discussed the possibilities of hosting the event in that beautiful part of Kenya that hosts great moments and links to Kenya’s rich natural heritage and history which include Mountain Climbing in the Aberdare Ranger and the scenic Mt Kenya, being the place where the founder of the boy-scouts movement the Late Baden Powell was buried and a county which produced Kenyan’s third President Hon Mwai Kibaki.
We were very honoured that Hon Wachira offered a sit-down with us for many hours during which we discussed many issues of mutual benefit to all concerned.
We informed Hon. Walter Wachira that we recently won the Miss Corporate Africa Franchise hence we are the sole license holders of the Miss Corporate Kenya which is in the pipeline of being rolled out all over Kenya using County Franchisee.
We asked Nyeri County to become part and parcel of this unique event that has been designed to represent the future of corporate beauty.
I Explained to Hon Walter Wachira that the benefits of Nyeri having a Miss Corporate Nyeri County include having the eventual winner to become the county’s Ambassador promoting its assets and natural attractions and at the same time involve corporate companies in supporting County educational scholarship programs for smart and disadvantaged youth who have the passion to climb the corporate ladder.
Miss Corporate Nyeri County will also be a role model for young Nyeri girls aspiring to achieve like her. i.e an image of a well-educated and successful personality.
We also discussed initiatives that could be undertaken to restore Nyeri’s lost glory in many fields.
I also realized that Nyeri was blessed with beautiful young girls who stand a very good chance of producing the 1st Miss corporate Kenya during the National finals that will be held on the 22nd of November 2014.
Hon. Wachira also agreed with us that we should welcome corporate sponsorship for the event that will have great return on investments to companies involved.
We wish to thanks Mr. Wachira and the entire Nyeri county Government for the supportive role they gave us and look forward to working with them for the betterment of our great nation, Kenya.
