The airstrip will accomodate moderate planes as big as those that fly to Mombasa and Kisumu. The airstrip will ease pressure on the privately owned Nanyuki airstrip. The process of selecting a contractor kicked off on June the 3rd, with 29 firms turning up for the mandatory site visit, alongside K.A.A officials. The Nyaribo Airstrip project is wholly government funded.

A constitutional referendum will be held in Kenya on August 4, 2010 to approve or disapprove the new proposed constitution passed by parliament on April 7, 2010. The new constitution is seen as a vital step to avoid a repetition of the violent outbursts after the 2007 presidential election.

There is some opposition to the new constitution, e.g. from churches (who fear it opens up the issue of abortion, despite the constitution not changing the current legality of abortion only for maternal health). However, according to polls, 64% of voters are in favour of the constitution.

The referendum question was announced on May 13, 2010:

Do you approve the proposed new Constitution?
Swahili: Je, unaikubali katiba mpya inayopendekezwa?

The symbols for the “yes” and “no” sides will be announced shortly; for the constitution to be passed, it needs 50% of the vote and at least 25% of the vote in at least five of the eight provinces

Do you approve the proposed new Constitution??

Research has shown that most males this days are preffering to live singly and have thus delegated the ladies to a much downward horizantal position in their lives. They are so much afraid of the olden “I Do” phrase or how else would one go on to explain this so sudden fascination with being single.

The Saturday magazine highlighted their story with most men citing infidelity and mistrust as the number one cause, blog with us and ascertain if this is untrue.
